Having grown up alongside Zach in Davis County, I have known him for many years and can personally attest to his integrity, strong character, and unwavering commitment to public service. Early in his career, I recruited Zach to join the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office, recognizing his genuine desire to serve and his outstanding character. Over the course of more than a decade, I had the privilege of working closely with Zach in various capacities, including as his supervisor in the Metro Gang Unit, on patrol, and on the SWAT Team.

Throughout our time together, Zach consistently demonstrated an exceptional work ethic and a deep dedication to making a positive difference in the community. He is a true listener—always engaging with community members and stakeholders to understand their concerns and work collaboratively toward effective solutions.

Zach’s approach is rooted in partnership and respect for the citizens he serves. Zach has always been a natural leader, regardless of his rank or assignment. His extensive leadership experience in one of the largest and busiest agencies in the state has prepared him to excel in any challenge. He stands out in our field for his professionalism, dedication, and ability to inspire those around him.
